About All American Video Poker
All American Video Poker is by no means a game that is isolated to only one software developer. Every developer seems to have their own version of this game, and it is in the tweaks that lay the difference, although rules always stay the same. This particular version has come to us for our online gambling entertainment from 1 x 2 Gaming, and although this is not a developer we are familiar with, it appears to have all the right buttons in all the right places, so, let’s give it a try.
Special Features
Special features include a one, two, three, four, and five coin bet level that can be played with different coin size ranges. Coin size ranges from 0.10, increasing up to 2.25, which would make a maximum wager of 12.50, which is unusual in itself. With a the maximum prize on a Royal Flush set at 4000 coins there are many more of these games that can be played on as little as 5.00 for the opportunity to win the same top prize. It pays to bear in mind that the top prize can only be won when wagering with a maximum bet.
It offers an automatic “Hold” feature which helps the player make the correct decision according to best strategy. In other words, the game automatically teaches us what it is looking for in terms of winning combinations. Winning combinations are made up of traditional poker hands such as Royal Flush as we mentioned, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind and so on, with the lowest winning combination being Jacks or Better. This is not unusual in video poker, as Jacks or Better have nearly always paid, whereas these are not generally winning hands in a traditional poker game.
Additional to being able to choose the amount of coins played, and choose the coin amount, this version unusually also offers a bet history, the ability to switch off sound, and whether or not it is played in high or low quality.
Bonus Features
Often online video poker games offer us a gamble option after winning. Whether these are “bonus” features or not is debatable. Basically a Hi-Lo or Double or Nothing game is made available after a winning hand. This version of All American Video Poker from 1 x 2 Gaming has not made a gamble option available, but we don’t believe that this is a huge loss. However, it is our opinion that there are better versions that are more economical to play, for the chance of winning the same size top prize.
