About Aces and Eights
Aces and Eights is a pretty straight forward video poker game, with a very easy to use wagering menu, and simplistic style graphics. One of the nice features about this video poker title, is that it uses pretty large cards, making it really easy to see all of the action. Of course, there has to be something more to it than that, otherwise, how would it have gotten the name Aces and Eights in the first place?
How to play
The basic goal in Aces and Eights is no different than that of any other video poker title. The player must use the cards to construct the best poker hand that they possibly can. If this hand matches one of the top paying hands from the pay-table, they will win.
After the bet has been made, the player will be dealt five cards. They can then use the hold buttons to choose which cards they wish to keep, and which ones they wish to discard. New cards replace those that are discarded.
The reason this game is called Aces and Eights is simple. If the player has a hand comprised of Aces and 8s, then can win a pay-out. Neither the Aces nor 8s represent wild cards in this game, although they can make up pretty decent hand.
Wagering and prizes
You couldn’t really ask for an easier time wagering on this game. Coin values range from a low of 0.25 up to a high of just 2.00. Players can then choose to wager up to 5 of these coins per hand. Minimum and maximum wagers are therefore fixed at 0.25 and 10.00 per hand, respectively.
In order to pick up a win, players will need to land at least Jacks or Better. On the single coin bet, players can win their bet back for this hand. Of course, the top pay-outs are reserved for those Royal Flush hands. On the maximum stake, players can win 4,000 coins with this hand. Other paying hands in the Aces and Eights game include Two Pairs, Three of a Kind, Straight, Flush, Full House, Four of a Kind, Straight Flush, Four Sevens or Aces and Eights.
Final thoughts
Bold, basic and incredibly simple to play, there will not be any complaining about how easy this game is to grasp. It also offers decent pay-outs.
