About Casino War
Rival Gaming’s Casino War is one of their more creative and original table games. This table game is based on the traditional “war” card game, and offers a direct 50-50 chance of success for the player. There isn’t a whole lot of strategy required to play Casino War, and this Rival Gaming developed version of the game contains just 6 decks of cards.
How to play
Once a bet has been placed in this game, the dealer issues one card to both themselves and the player. Those cards will then be compared. If the player’s card is higher in value than the dealer’s card, the player wins. Should the dealer’s card be of a higher value than the player’s, then the player loses. If there is a tie, the player must make a choice: surrender, or go to war.
If the player chooses to go to war, they must raise their bet by an amount equal to the original ante wager. A total of three cards will then be tossed aside, and new cards will be distributed to the dealer and player. The player (or dealer) with the highest value card wins. If there is still a tie, a tied pay-out is offered in some casinos.
Should the player opt to surrender, they will forfeit half of their original bet.
Wagering and prizes
Players have a 50% chance of success when playing Rival Gaming’s Casino War. There are pay-outs of 1:1 for every victory the player acquires whilst playing Casino War. Should the player go to war, and the result of the second card hand is still a tie, they will pocket winnings worth 2:1 in this Rival Gaming developed table game.
Wagers in the game are quite flexible. Chip sizes range from 1.00 up to 100.00 in total, with table minimum and maximum bets ranging from 10.00 a game, up to 1,250 per game on the high-roller edition, and various other bets possible in other variants of this game.
Final thoughts
There isn’t too much one can say about Casino War. The game is about as basic a gambling title as you might expect to play. With a 50-50 chance of success, it is ideal for newbies who wish to test their mettle before they decide more challenging games. Rival Gaming’s Casino War is virtually no different than the many other top Casino War games from other developers out there.
